Project Overview
An industrial warehouse development at Tanjung Kupang, near the Port of Tanjung Pelepas belt, is being built by China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd. The scheme is a three-storey warehouse with attached office and mezzanine levels, plus guard house, pump house, substation and the supporting external works.
Green City Machinery holds the transportation and machinery service contract on that site.
The word that matters there is transportation. This is not a machine hire with haulage arranged separately somewhere else. Five machine types sit on one contract: backhoe loaders, short arm excavators, long arm excavators, 10-tyre tipper lorries and a 3-ton lorry.
The 3-ton lorry is the one nobody thinks to ask for and everybody ends up needing: materials, small plant, formwork and tools moved around a live site all day, without tying up a tipper or a pickup that belongs to somebody else.

The Challenge
A warehouse build runs bulk earthwork, foundations, structure and external works in overlapping sequences, with several trades on the ground at once. Material has to come in and spoil has to go out continuously, and the plant mix changes as the job moves from earthwork to structure. Splitting that across separate machine hires and a haulier turns every change into a negotiation.
The Result
A single transportation and machinery service contract covering five machine types through the earthwork and structure phases.
