Project Overview
The Johor Elephant Sanctuary at Kota Tinggi is a government-led wildlife conservation facility. Phase 1 established the sanctuary’s operating buildings and paddocks. Phase 2 adds the visitor side: a visitor building, guard house, parking and the supporting infrastructure that goes with them.
Green City Machinery supplied the earthwork plant for that development: excavators, backhoe loaders and compaction.
Construction inside a conservation area is not the same job as construction on an industrial plot. The working area is fixed and you do not widen it for convenience. Access routes are set. Disturbance beyond the marked boundary is not a tidy-up item afterwards, it is the thing the whole facility exists to prevent.
So the machine selection runs small-first: a backhoe loader that can do drainage, service trenches and general site works without a tracked machine’s footprint, an excavator where there is genuinely bulk to move, and compaction to finish platforms and parking areas properly.

The Challenge
A conservation site fixes the things a contractor normally flexes. The working area cannot creep, access routes cannot be improvised, and the disturbance the project is allowed to cause is defined before anyone arrives. Meanwhile the visitor facilities still need proper platforms, drainage and compacted parking that will carry public traffic for years.
The Result
Visitor facility earthworks completed inside a fixed conservation working area, with plant sized to the constraint rather than the convenience.
