A machine that leaves a site cleanly and on schedule is doing something just as valuable as the one arriving fast. It’s just easier to overlook.
A Clean Demob — and Why the Short Tail Was the Right Machine Here
This photo shows our short tail excavator being loaded for demobilisation from a data centre project at Sedenak Tech Park, Kulai, after completing its scope of work. The move-out was coordinated to clear the site promptly for the following phase — no equipment sitting idle, no holdup for the next contractor.
The short tail (reduced tail-swing) configuration was well suited to this site. Data centre plots are often congested — multiple trades, tight boundaries, structures going up nearby — and a conventional excavator’s rear counterweight swings past the tracks, creating a strike risk in confined space. A short tail keeps that swing within a compact radius, so the machine delivers full digging performance while working safely in close quarters.
This is also the same Sedenak Tech Park programme where, days earlier, we mobilised an additional backhoe to help the client accelerate. Scaling up when needed, demobilising cleanly when done — that’s full-lifecycle support on a live data centre site.
